AFISAR was created in 1990 under the leadership of Professor Kamran SAMII, eager to emancipate nurses anesthetists for autonomous management (intellectual and material) of their continuing education. Originally, this association was made up of nurse anesthetists from the three hospitals of the Department of Anesthesia, Bicêtre, Paul Brousse and Antoine Béclère.

Eager to offer a new and quality service, the association has focused on thematic days whose presentations developed allow for a learning and further discussion between stakeholders and participants.

Over the years, and depending on the demands of the public, the association has opened its doors to SSPI / Réa nurses, who are highly interested in continuing education specific to their specialty, which was offered to them nowhere else!

The composition of the office was open to nurse anesthetists from other institutions in the Paris region and to military hospitals so that everyone could contribute their professional experiences to the association.
